  1. Combine steamed sweet potato, cooked quinoa, flaxseed meal, black beans, sriracha, cumin, olive oil, salt, and pepper in a large bowl.
  2. Mash ingredients together until well combined but still slightly chunky.
  3. Add the egg and mix until just combined.
  4. Form mixture into 6 patties.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  6. Cook patties 4-5 minutes per side until golden and heated through.

Caramelized Red Onion

  1. Slice red onion into ⅛" slices and separate into rings.
  2. Heat butter and olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add onion rings, salt, and sriracha.
  4. Cook for 20-25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are deeply caramelized and tender.

  1. Toast hamburger rolls if desired.
  2. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom bun.
