  2. Heat olive oil in a sauté pan over medium high heat, add garlic and sauté 1 to 2 minutes until slightly translucent. Add shallots to the pan and cook an additional 2 minutes, stirring frequently so the garlic doesn't burn.
  3. Carefully pour white wine into the pan. Add canned diced tomatoes with sauce, salt, red pepper, and fresh basil to the pan. Let simmer for 5 minutes on high until reduced.

Cook the Pasta
