Ingredients

Lavender Peach Wine Slushie

Blood Orange Reduction (Optional)

Instructions

Lavender Syrup

  1. In a sauce pan combine water, granulated sugar and lavender. Bring to a boil while stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  2. Reduce and let simmer for 5 minutes. Remove lavender sprigs and allow to cool, about 10 minutes.

Wine Slushie

  1. In a large, sturdy, ziplock freezer bag combine the wine, lavender syrup, peach schnapps and lemonade.
  2. Place the bag in a tupperware container or on a flat plate to ensure it does not open or leak.
  3. Freeze overnight or for a minimum of 5 hours.

To Serve

  1. Massage the bag of frozen wine slushie to break up the ice.
  2. Scoop into cups or into a large punch bowl.
  3. Optional: garnish with blood orange reduction.

Notes

  • For blood orange reduction, simmer the strained blood orange juice with granulated sugar until thickened.
