Perfect Boston Sour Recipe
Whiskey lovers will fall in love with this perfect Boston sour after just one delicious sip! With its wonderfully frothy topping, the classic Boston sour elevates a basic whiskey sour to add a velvety, silky texture for a touch of elegance.

How to Make the Best Perfect Boston Sour
The Perfect Boston Sour is a sophisticated whiskey cocktail that takes the classic whiskey sour to the next level with a luxurious frothy egg white topping. This elegant drink features the perfect balance of bourbon whiskey, bright lemon juice, and smooth simple syrup, creating a well-rounded flavor profile that whiskey enthusiasts will absolutely love.
What sets the Boston Sour apart from a standard whiskey sour is the technique—the two-shake method. The initial dry shake without ice helps emulsify the egg white, creating a stable foam. Then, after adding ice for the wet shake, the extended shaking develops that signature creamy, velvety texture that makes each sip truly special.
Whether you’re entertaining guests or treating yourself to an evening cocktail, this Perfect Boston Sour delivers café-quality results at home. The frothy top adds visual appeal and elegance to any cocktail hour, making it the ideal choice when you want something a bit more refined than your everyday drink.
