Raspberry Mojito

How to Make the Best Raspberry Mojito

There’s nothing quite like a refreshing raspberry mojito on a warm summer day. This classic Cuban cocktail combines the perfect balance of sweet raspberries, bright citrus, and aromatic mint to create a drink that’s both simple and sophisticated.

The beauty of the raspberry mojito lies in its simplicity and fresh ingredients. Fresh raspberries are muddled with lime wedges and a touch of simple syrup to release their natural juices and create a beautiful, fruity base. The gentle muddling of the mint leaves releases their fragrant oils without bruising them, adding a refreshing herbal note that complements the fruit perfectly.

With just five minutes of prep time and a few quality ingredients, you can create a cocktail bar favorite right at home. The rum adds a smooth warmth to balance the fruity sweetness, while the club soda brings everything together with effervescence and lightness. It’s the perfect drink for entertaining or simply unwinding on a hot day.

Directions

  1. In a highball glass with a sturdy bottom, add the raspberries, lime wedges and simple syrup. Muddle until the raspberries break down.
  2. Add the mint leaves. Gently muddle a few times. Don't feel like you need to overdo it here. We just want to release the oils and fragrance.
  3. Pour in the rum. Add a handful of ice. Stir a few times to chill.
  4. Top with club soda. Gently stir to combine.
  5. Place the mint sprig in the palm of your hand. Quickly clap your other hand on top to release the mint's fragrance. Add the sprig to the glass. Enjoy!

Notes

  • If you prefer to make your mojito in a cocktail shaker, this recipe works well with that method as well.
