Rosé Slushies (Frosé)

How to Make the Best Rosé Slushies (Frosé)

Frosé—that delightful frozen rosé slushie—is the ultimate summer cocktail for anyone who loves wine with a fun, icy twist. This recipe takes the elegant flavors of crisp rosé wine and combines them with a refreshing elderflower and lemon lemonade base, creating a drink that’s both sophisticated and incredibly easy to make.

The beauty of this recipe lies in its simplicity. Rather than trying to freeze a liquid cocktail (which is notoriously difficult), this method freezes the wine and the flavored lemonade separately in zip lock bags, then mixes them together at serving time. The result is a perfectly slushy, partially frozen cocktail that’s crisp, refreshing, and dangerously drinkable on hot summer days.

Perfect for entertaining, wine tastings, or simply cooling off on a lazy afternoon, this Rosé Slushie recipe is sure to become your go-to summer cocktail. Make a batch ahead of time and you’ll have a crowd-pleasing drink ready whenever the occasion calls for it.

Preparation

  1. Carefully pour the bottle of Rosé into a zip lock bag. Zip and store flat in the freezer.
  2. In a large container, such as a quart mason jar or mixing bowl, combine the lemon juice, sugar, and warm water. Water should be warm enough to melt the sugar but not boiling.
  3. Add elderflower liquor to the lemonade mix. Transfer to another zip lock bag and store flat in the freezer.
  4. Allow to freeze at least six hours, overnight is best.
  5. In a pitcher or punch bowl, empty both zip lock bags. Use a wooden spoon to stir and remove any clumps from the lemonade mixture.
  6. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • This is best served immediately after the slush has been mixed together.
  • You can make this ahead of time and store both components in the freezer for up to a month.
