Whether you're celebrating Derby Day or simply looking for a refreshing cocktail, this strawberry mint julep is perfect for the occasion. Made with fresh strawberries and mint leaves, this mint julep has just the right sweetness to balance the bourbon for your perfect patio cocktail.

How to Make the Best Strawberry Mint Julep
A strawberry mint julep is the perfect refreshing cocktail for warm weather gatherings and special occasions. This timeless drink combines the smoothness of bourbon with the bright, cooling flavors of fresh mint and sweet strawberries. The muddling technique releases the essential oils from the mint, infusing the cocktail with aromatic complexity while the strawberry adds natural sweetness and a beautiful color.
What makes this version truly special is the balance between the fruit, mint, and spirit. The simple syrup ties everything together, while the crushed ice keeps the drink perfectly chilled without diluting it too quickly. The garnish of fresh mint isn’t just for looks—clapping the mint between your palms before serving releases fragrant oils that elevate the entire drinking experience.
Whether you’re celebrating Derby Day, hosting a garden party, or simply craving a sophisticated spring cocktail, this strawberry mint julep delivers impressive flavor with minimal effort. It’s a crowd-pleaser that tastes like it came from a craft cocktail bar.
